This insulation product reduces your heating and cooling costs - It serves as a thermal break, radiant barrier, vapor barrier and sound barrier. 5mm (1/4") closed cell polyethylene foam sandwiched between two 99% pure aluminum, low emissivity surfaces. Although most reflective insulations list a nominal thickness of 3/16 or 1/4-inch, you can clearly see the difference in the actual thickness in the the photos on this page.
